Jansahyog NGO work at a Glance
- Jan Sahyog has planted more than 1.5 lakhs of indigenous, medicinal and rare plants in the last 10 years.
- In July 2018, Jan Sahyog NGO set up a first “Biodiversity Park '' in Marathwada region at cantonment dumping ground, Waluj Road, Aurangabad. The planting of 250 species of various trees at this place till date is the first ever experiment done in the entire Marathwada region.
- Kohler Power India Pvt. Ltd. participated in a plantation drive on 29th July 2018 & supported us in planting 6200 plants in a single day & also sponsored lunch to our 700 volunteer participants.
- In August 2019, not only doctors, government officials, social workers but also students, housewives, and citizens from all walks of life planted about 15,000 trees in an area of 25 acres in a single day at “Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Mendhi & Sheli vikas preshetra”, Padegaon, Aurangabad .
- At this place, Jansahyog NGO planted more than 400 different plant species & created 20 different vatikas, which is first of a kind experiment in whole India to plant at one place, all Native trees plant species, Indigenous plant species, Rare plant species, Medicinal plant species, Host plant species, Nectar plants species, keystone plant species, Flowering plant species, Fruit plant species, Endangered plant species
- On the occasion of “वट पौर्णिमा (Vat Pournima)” 350 women not only worshipped Banyan Trees but planted 221 banyan trees and established "वड वन (Banyan Tree Forest) .
- We the volunteers of Jansahyog NGO have been watering trees every summer for the last 7 years, from 8 am to 5 pm at various plantation sites.
- During the “Corona Pandemic”, 20,000 trees were saved by the volunteers of Jan Sahyog NGO , as watering the trees, was not missed even a single day, despite the fear of getting infected.
- In association with Kohler Power India Pvt. Ltd (A CSR initiative), “Biodiversity Park” at OS4, MIDC Chikalthana was created by Jan Sahyog NGO in which 180 trees of various plant species were grown.
- At Padegaon site we have planted 20 varieties of vatikas and 400 varieties of plant species in a first of its kind experiment in India and soon this plantation drive will be entered in the “Limca Books” of Records.
